1. Who we are
Benefitter (the "Service," available at benefitter.app and through the Benefitter mobile apps) is operated by Fullstakrs LLC ("we," "us"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. What the Service is — and is not
The Service provides free, informational estimates of potential eligibility for public benefit programs based on the answers you provide and publicly available program rules. The Service is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the Connecticut Department of Social Services (DSS), the State of Connecticut, or any other government agency. Results are estimates only: they are not applications, determinations, guarantees, or promises of eligibility or benefit amounts, and they are not legal, financial, tax, or benefits advice. Program rules change, individual circumstances vary, and only the administering agency can determine actual eligibility and amounts. Always rely on the official agency's decision.
3. Your responsibilities
Estimates are only as good as the answers behind them; providing accurate information is up to you. You agree to use the Service only for lawful, personal, informational purposes — including use by caseworkers and navigators assisting clients — and not to disrupt the Service, attempt to probe or overload its systems, misrepresent the Service's results as official agency determinations, or use the Service to mislead any person or agency.
4. Applications happen elsewhere
The Service links to official application sites (such as ConneCT, Access Health CT, and Care 4 Kids) operated by third parties. We are not responsible for those sites, their content, or the outcome of any application you submit through them.
5. Intellectual property and open source
The Benefitter name, wordmark, chevron logo, and the Service's design are the property of Fullstakrs LLC. Benefit calculations are powered in part by the open-source PolicyEngine project; components based on it are used and made available in accordance with their open-source licenses. Nothing in these Terms restricts rights granted by those licenses.
6. No warranty
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, and uninterrupted availability. Benefit rules and amounts change; the Service may lag those changes.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Fullstakrs LLC and its members, officers, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for any loss of benefits, income, or opportunity, arising from your use of or reliance on the Service. To the extent any liability is found notwithstanding the foregoing, it is limited to one hundred U.S. dollars ($100). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
8. Changes to the Service or these Terms
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time. We may update these Terms by posting a revised version at benefitter.app/terms with a new effective date; continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and any dispute shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Connecticut.

El Servicio ofrece estimados gratuitos e informativos de posible elegibilidad para programas de beneficios públicos, basados en las respuestas que usted proporciona y en reglas de programas disponibles públicamente. El Servicio no está afiliado al Departamento de Servicios Sociales de Connecticut (DSS), al Estado de Connecticut ni a ninguna otra agencia del gobierno, ni es respaldado u operado por ellos. Los resultados son solo estimados: no son solicitudes, determinaciones, garantías ni promesas de elegibilidad o de montos de beneficios, y no constituyen asesoría legal, financiera, de impuestos ni de beneficios. 3. Sus responsabilidades

Usted acepta usar el Servicio solo para fines legales, personales e informativos — incluido el uso por trabajadores de casos y navegadores que asisten a sus clientes — y acepta no interrumpir el Servicio, no intentar sondear ni sobrecargar sus sistemas, no presentar los resultados del Servicio como determinaciones oficiales de una agencia, y no usar el Servicio para engañar a ninguna persona o agencia.
4. Las solicitudes se hacen en otro lugar
El Servicio enlaza a sitios oficiales de solicitud (como ConneCT, Access Health CT y Care 4 Kids) operados por terceros. No somos responsables de esos sitios, de su contenido ni del resultado de ninguna solicitud que usted presente a través de ellos.
5. Propiedad intelectual y código abierto
El nombre Benefitter, el logotipo de texto, el logo de cheurón y el diseño del Servicio son propiedad de Fullstakrs LLC. Los cálculos de beneficios funcionan en parte con el proyecto de código abierto PolicyEngine; los componentes basados en él se usan y se ponen a disposición conforme a sus licencias de código abierto. Nada en estos Términos restringe los derechos otorgados por esas licencias.
6. Sin garantía
El Servicio se ofrece "tal cual" y "según disponibilidad," sin garantías de ningún tipo, expresas o implícitas, incluidas la exactitud, la integridad, la idoneidad para un propósito particular y la disponibilidad ininterrumpida. Las reglas y los montos de los beneficios cambian; el Servicio puede quedar rezagado frente a esos cambios.
7. Limitación de responsabilidad
En la máxima medida permitida por la ley, Fullstakrs LLC y sus miembros, funcionarios y contratistas no serán responsables de daños indirectos, incidentales, consecuentes, especiales o punitivos, ni de ninguna pérdida de beneficios, ingresos u oportunidades, que surja de su uso del Servicio o de su confianza en él. En la medida en que se determine alguna responsabilidad a pesar de lo anterior, esta se limita a cien dólares estadounidenses ($100). Algunas jurisdicciones no permiten ciertas limitaciones, por lo que partes de esta sección podrían no aplicarle.
8. Cambios al Servicio o a estos Términos
Podemos modificar, suspender o descontinuar el Servicio en cualquier momento. Podemos actualizar estos Términos publicando una versión revisada en benefitter.app/terms con una nueva fecha de vigencia; el uso continuado después de la fecha de vigencia constituye aceptación.
9. Ley aplicable
Estos Términos se rigen por las leyes del Estado de Connecticut, sin considerar sus normas sobre conflictos de leyes, y cualquier disputa se resolverá en los tribunales estatales o federales ubicados en Connecticut.
